Mr. Gofran Farooque

Mr. Gofran Farooque is the Convener of the Finance Committee of MSS. He is an enthusiastic social worker.

Gofran Farooque served American Express Bank (AEB) Bangladesh for 19 years, lastly as the Senior Director & Chief Operations Officer, also the Country Manager-in-Charge for over six months. Gofran was a member of the American Express Bank’s senior management team and was responsible for the total operations of the bank in Bangladesh, which included Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT). Under Gofran’s active leadership, AEB was the first bank in Bangladesh to start online banking in the early nineties. Gofran is a highly skilled manager who pays attention to details and helps foster a professional working environment for both internal associates and external customers in line with the changing demands in the market.

Gofran conducted various training programs across Bangladesh as a certified TQM facilitator and trainer. At the international level, he worked for a UK-based training organization. He also has professional experience with a Hong Kong-based trading company
