Read moreCommunity participation is very crucial for sustaining any development project. MSS with financial support from Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and with its contribution has been implementing integrated development project ENRICH (Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capacities of Poor Households TowardsElimination of their Poverty)since in July 2013in Bangalipur union of Saidpur Upazila under Nilphamari district. The main purpose of this integrated program is to empower and enhance the human dignity of the target groups through holistic approach providing software and hardware support so that they can move forward towards reducing poverty in a sustainable way.
Health and Nutrition
This component addresses the needs of basic health services of the beneficiaries under which static clinic (conducted by Health Visitors) and satellite clinic (attended by registered MBBS physician) are arranged at the community level. Besides, general health camp, eye camp, blood sugar test, blood grouping test and health awareness raising courtyard sessions are the major interventions of this component.
Education Learning Center
This program aims to reduce dropout of the students providing tutorial services at the tutorial centers.The tutors assist the students of class I and class II in preparing their every day’s lessons.
Youths are imparted training on various trades so that they can get involve in income generation and get rid of the curse of unemployment.
Medicinal Plant Cultivation
Beneficiaries get engaged in the cultivation of medicinal plants along the union parishad roads on shared basis. When grown up, the dried medicinal leaves (Bashok pata) are sold to various pharmaceutical companies for making herbal cough syrup.
