Non Formal Primary Education-NFPE

To raise literacy rate to a satisfactory level, it is very urgent to teach children at the grass root level. Especially the literacy rate among the poor people is very disappointing. The underlying reasons are financial constraints, extreme poverty, male headed family, lack of opportunity, dropout etc.
In order to ensure access to education of the poor children, Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) has commissioned non-formal primary education program in its working areas under a wing of Womens Credit Program (WCP). The purpose of this program is to play a role to increase literacy rate in Bangladesh, to keep children away from child labor, to involve poor adolescent boys in vocational training and work after primary education and to create opportunity to grow up as a healthy citizen. In the light of above purpose, MSS opened few non-formal primary education centers in Dhaka city with the Technical assistance of BRAC.
