MSS is implementing a two year project for the rehabilitation of non-motorized transport pullers and poor owners as well with the financial assistance of World Bank through Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). Launched in July 2007, the project will end in June 2009. The project is being implemented in Lalbag thana of Dhaka city. The target people are: non-motorized transport pullers i.e. rickshaw pullers, rickshaw van drivers and poor owners who were affected dur to the ban of plying non-mottorized transports in some of the roads in Dhaka city. Moreover, Family members of the affected people, non-motorized transport pullers who are interested to alter their occupation and the listed poor and affected members of MSSs micro-credit program. Total number of beneficiaries under the project is 2,745.
